My Holiday In Benidorm

Last week I went to Benidorm in Spain, it was amazing now let me tell you why!
We arrived at our hotel Onasol Los Dalamatas it was great but Spanish, we went for the all inclusive option so free food and drinks which is essential for any holiday!

The weather was great to be honest! It was averaged about 14-16 degrees, I know that doesn't sound a lot but it was lovely compared to back in the UK where it was 0 degrees.

Our hotel was about 100/200 metres from the beach our view from the balcony was great!
Even though we had all inclusive we were next to the fast food restaurants which was also a mega bonus just in case food wasn't being served at a certain time.

There was 16 of us who went on this holiday as it was for my Cousins & Aunties Birthday.
We arrived there at the night around 9pm and got the drinks rolling in for the night ahead! It was fun, I may have got a little bit drunk... Okay I got very drunk but that isn't the point! We went out to some local bars from what I can remember, as we arrived late anyway we didn't actually leave the hotel till 11pm so after the local bars, we went on "The Strip" this is known as like the nightclub kind of area, it was amazing considering I'm only 17 years old I've never experienced this before and it blew my mind! The music was amazing I just danced the night away!

Every morning I would get up from a full english breakfast as you just need to its free? When does anyone ever have the time to make a full english at home? I never do!
The next day I got up slightly hungover and just walked straight out onto the balcony the view was incredible it was slightly chilly but the sea and the sun and just the view it was just amazing!

I am definitely a summer person, I hate the winter one of my dreams in the future is to spend the winter away from the UK in Australia which is of course their summer! That would make my life and myself so much happier, winter depresses me, I hate the cold!

In the day you can walk along the whole beach front right in till the end then turn down a little road on the right and its called the old town, up there is little markets and shops its actually really nice up there, it was a long trek though so we often turned round a walked all the way back which took ages, there's a hill up to the old town and there's this rock where you can get a full view of Benidorm, on the other side of this rock we found a small beach which looked stunning and a little marina with all the boats in.
We chilled down at the beach that day and had a few selfie's and just chilled it was so relaxing.

This was basically what we did day in day out, but on the night before we went home which was the Tuesday it was my Aunties birthday and she's a bit wild, she wanted everyone to wear wigs so we bought loads of wigs from the joker store, it was hilarious, my grandma kept picking up rubber penises and laughing I was nearly crying!!!

Anyway that night we planned to go out to the tranny / gay bars up in the old town, but the entertainment wasn't on as it was January and the bars don't have many tourists at that time of year, so that was disappointing we found a nice little bar not far from that when everything went down hill...

My mum lost her purse, it had all of her cards in which is very scary to think someone may have your debit and credit card, so we immediately ran back up to old town searched for it couldn't find it anywhere. In Spain its common to get pickpocketed but no one was near my mum for her to get pickpocketed so we think she left it in the taxi but we had to cancel all of her cards and just carry on with the night, half of the group parted at that point as they were just boring and basically we only had 6 nights there so this was our last night but the other part of the group was staying  for 7 nights so they didn't mind missing out that night, well I wasn't going to let that ruin the night for my Auntie we chilled in a english bar and had a great dance then decided to go down The Strip, I wasn't drunk this time though so it was nice to experience it sober it wasn't as fun though haha, after that we was walking home but then we bumped into a bar which had a hypnosis performing so we went in, it was literally brilliant.

He basically hypnotised these two women and made them do what ever he said it was crazy, he asked one of my aunties friends to go up and she said f*** off as she did it before and she took her top off and everything and she didn't even know what was happening, I'm kind of a dare devil and I really wanted to do it but the man didn't seem interested, in the end he picked me and he tried to do it, but he either couldn't do it as they know after about 2 minutes if they can hypnotise you or if they just didn't want you up there, I'm only 17 years old anyway so he failed on me, the performance carried on anyway though and he made them pretend to be sticky vicky, now if you don't know who she is i don't really know either all I know is that she is famous in Benidorm for pulling strange objects out of her vagina on stage... Haha so you can imagine what these women were doing on stage it wasn't literally the real thing though thank god!
I actually wanted to see this Sticky Vicky woman purely because if you go Benidorm everyone says you have to see her, I don't think it would of been pleasant but it would of been cringy but hilarious lets be honest!

Anyway that was my holiday in benidorm overall, it is such a great place! To party or to chill its mixed with all different ages there is quite a few OAPS here believe or not!
It is a cheap place to stay and fly over to be honest, I was shocked how great our hotel was considering we payed less than £200 for everything including flights too! I am considering going to Benidorm for my 18th in July with some off my friends too!
The night life out there is incredible I can't even how mental it will be in the summer!
I hope you enjoyed this blog post! & If your looking for a cheap but nice holiday abroad i would highly suggest Benidorm!

A Day Out In London

Last Tuesday 6th January, was my Mum's birthday so I decided to treat her to a day out in London, as we rarely go there and don't really go anywhere with each other.

The day was jam packed I really enjoyed it and she did too, I love London but I don't go there as much as I would like, I fall in love with the underground tube station it reminds me of New York which is one of my favourite cities.

The first thing we planned to do was to jump on the underground to London Bridge to go and visit the shard.

We didn't go up The Shard even though I would of liked too it was bit too expensive/time consuming for how long we would of spent up there. It was lovely seeing it though such a pretty building reminded me of NYC.

The next place we went to was Tower Bridge, which neither me & mum had visited before which was a change, I didn't even realise it existed, we walked across it which was a nice walk.

Then jumped back on the tube to Westminster to see London Eye & Big Ben. We didn't spend to long there purely as we've seen it all before and just got a few pictures.

After that we went for some girly shopping on Oxford Street and this meant me standing round in stores while my mum shopped. I'm not sure why but I get nervous/anxious when I'm shopping, I just feel like everyone is looking at me as I'm not in with the trend, I'm not very good with fashion to be honest, once I see something is in the trend and everyone is wearing it then I buy it and like it, but I'm the worst person to go shopping with unless I know what I'm looking for and I'm with someone who I'm comfortable around.

Well after hours of shopping, I then wanted to take my mum to a coffee shop as she fancied a cheeky coffee.
I really wanted to check out this coffee shop my favourite YouTubers Louis Cole & Steve Booker gave good reviews about. I don't really like getting a coffee from a mainstream coffee shop such a Costa, Starbucks etc. I prefer a nice little cafe with workers who are passionate about their little cafe, anyway this coffee shop was called Tap Coffee. It was so amazing inside literally so vintage and cool, I bought a casual Flat White Coffee and a chocolate chip cookie which was huge and too die for! My mum went for a cappuccino and some cake not sure what it was but it looked delicious!
I would recommend this coffee shop to anyone who lives or is visiting the London area it is on Oxford Street but on a little side road.

It started to hit sunset and was getting dark so we both decided to go to Camden Market which we both absolutely love, neither of us have been at night so this was absolutely lovely, every time I go there it's just such a diverse place with difference cultures and races, I love the market and how you can get bargains, I only bought one item while being in London and that was from the Market just guess?! What is it? A Selfie Stick...
We got a good deal on it and I wanted one of these for YouTube Conventions
(p.s. I GOT TICKETS FOR SITC BACK TO THE BLOG...)
It is such a lovely vibe there, I would highly recommend visiting, there is loads of little food stalls which are so tempting but I have a severe peanut allergy and I don't know whether I would trust some of the foods as they could have peanut oil in them.

We started to get a little bit peckish after wondering round Camden with all that lovely  food being cooked constantly. We decided then to go and find a restaurant, I suggested Covent Garden because that's great for restaurants, we went on the tube to their and then I asked Siri the nearest Italian Restaurants as that's my mums favourite cuisine and Jamie Olivers Italian came up, she said she would like to go there and the even better thing was we had £10 off so I treated her and me to the meal.
I'm telling you now and I am not exaggerating it was incredible like I had Sirloin steak and all the sides that came with it was just beautiful homemade coleslaw was the one! My mum had the lamb which was delicious, I may have robbed some off her it did indeed melt in my mouth!

That was basically our day in London we went back to Euston and then we realised we missed the bloody train... It was resolved though we just got one a hour later for free, it planned out just how I wanted it too.
My mum really enjoyed her birthday day out which made me so happy as she always works for Christmas/her Birthday and anything special really so it's nice for her to have a nice day and actually appreciate the day.
London is one of my favourite cities, it is so beautiful I just fall in love with it more and more I visit there, if you haven't been there yet honestly do it!
You won't regret it!

Upcoming YouTube Convention & Meetup Tips

There is a YouTube convention called Summer In The City, which is held in London at Alexandra Palace but this year it is being held at ExCel London, which makes me very excited!

I loved the event last year considering it was my first ever meet up/convention it blew my mind, it was set up very well but unfair at the same time.
I'm expecting this year to be very different to last year mainly as only me & my cousin went together last year I knew no one, I was there to meet my idols and that's what I accomplished.

A month before the event last year I made my fan account on twitter it was very small in followers, but now I've got 1.6k and have a pretty amazing friendship with some of my followers, the reason I've formed a friendship with them is that we all have the same things in common which are YouTubers, all the accounts I follow are YouTuber related, we are a fandom it is incredible and I know when I go sitc this year that i'll meet some of my internet friends which makes me so happy!

The reason I stated it was unfair last year was that the meet ups were ticketed to a certain amount, I did manage to meet Malfie and of course Louis, but I planned my day out and when I walked through the doors Zoe's meet up ran out of tickets, so wasn't able to meet her which really upset me, I know the reason they did it but I found it unfair at the time.

It was the best experience of my life undoubtedly, I never thought i'd ever meet my sunshines it was such a great event overall though I felt so in my comfort zone with the people who attended I love how we all had the same interests.

While writing this blog post the British YouTubers have all dropped out of Summer In The City well the main ones, because of Amity Fest, which I'm really upset about but then it makes me happy as more under appreciated YouTubers will be going and I'll prioritise my time in to meeting them instead now.
Of course I'm going to attempt to buy tickets for Amity Fest me and my cousin have already agreed we're going SITC both days whether or not Amity Fest crashes with it purely as Amity will be a UK tour and we are both willing to travel to anywhere in the UK to meet the brits, I will be fighting for VIP tickets which are a bit expensive but from what I've heard it is so worth it, so my plan is to attend both events.

Anyway here's some tips on anyone who is attending an Event or a Meet Up:
  • Plan the day the best you can ( you can't guarantee it'll go to plan but if you list the people who are your priority, you should be able to meet them)
  • Get their early if you want to meet someone who is first on the timetable
  • Make sure you take a external battery pack for your phone!
  • Take Sharpies
  • Take drinks and food for the cues they can get very boring (if they take them off you before you get inside get food and drink before you que up)
  • If it is a ticketed event such as SITC, I suggest you take a few friends and split up & just get tickets for all of you at different meet and greets (make excuses like my friends at the toilet can I have an extra ticket)
Well that's all I can think off from the top of my head but they are damn important for any event. I wouldn't survive without these or the event would just be pretty poop!

I hope the blog post has gave people an insight on what it's like at these events and if you do go be sure to follow my tips!
