Hey!
In May I travelled to Milan, Italy with my cousin,
this was our first holiday away without our parents and it was amazing!
We flew through the airports so easily going
Magaluf the week before defiantly topped our brains up with what we had to do
when we travelled to Milan, it was so smooth the whole journey everything went
to plan, our transfer car waiting for us which was a rip off, was actually very
nice we had a Mercedes which we kind of felt like royalty as going away with
family we go in the cheapest car/bus that moves as there’s so many of us.
Milan was a great place to visit for my first
holiday, it was quite a sophisticated city apart from a few pervy men. Our
hotel was good we paid a lot of money for it and it was worrying when we got to
check in, as I wasn't 18 they wouldn't allow me access to stay in the hotel
only if my parents could print of a form sign it and then scan it back into a
computer and email it to them this was a lot of stress onto my dad, but we
finally got let in and enjoyed the view of the main shopping street we only had
4 days there which doesn't sound much but we tried to do as much as we could.

The best thing about the city itself was the food
like Italian food is literally my weakness I tried to go along the traditional
side of it and everyday I wanted to try a traditional dish so the first night
we had a take away pizza as why the hell not!
Then we went to a very expensive restaurant which
we didn’t know at the time, it actually lured is in with the price the lasagna
was under 10€ which was great then we had two huge cokes which were 20€ each
which we did not know, then we were requesting other things, the bill in total
came up to 72€ for 2 people, to say our jaws dropped was an understatement,
haha they came out with a tiny little shot dessert and I think they felt sorry
for us but just oh my god, to be honest I don't regret it now it was the best
meal out of the whole holiday and I’m forever fantasizing to eat it again. The
following day we had pasta Bolognese and the day after I don't think we ate
anything apart from a burger king when we flew back to the UK.

It was very claustrophobic compared to Magaluf as
that was the main nightclub you could hardly move, so we found a small area to
dance in and danced the night away, the only problem was with after that, it
was 2/3am in the morning it was so busy we couldn't get hold of any taxi
company and was stranded, the tube stopped running and we started to get abit
worried but after compromising we had to do what we had to do haha,3 so we just
jumped in a random taxi and pretended to be the person they thought they were
picking up and just changed the destination to our hotel, it was quite a funny
experience but that was my only down side to partying in Milan.
The main reason the whole idea of Italy came about was because of a YouTube convention called ITAtube which started out last year, all of my favourite youtubers went there and I was super excited to meet them and travel to a different country for them, but unfortunately they didn’t come which overall I didn’t mind, as instead of making the holiday all about them we made it about our time in Italy and cherished it more, we went to the event on Sunday and I met an internet friend called Camilla and she was lovely, it still blows my mind how you can become friends with people over the internet and actually pursue it to real life, we chilled for abit, before that we were both queuing to meet some low key YouTuber who I absolutely adore, the line got cut off as we were at the front on the que but we were at the front of the barricade and the came down to say bye and we got pictures and hugs it was so cool the fact I was English I may have gotten some attention ahaha they was like huh you sound English and I was like yeah I am I flew over here!
Overall I so want to visit Italy again and
hopefully Milan in the future but would like to explore Italy itself bit more,
it was a lovely holiday and was very relaxing compared to Magaluf, its pricey
but a lovely place to just chill and shop for a couple of days. I would go back
there and I would recommend visiting.
Hope you enjoyed my experience in Milan :)
p.s. I've been telling myself for the past couple of months to not upload any blog post's till I have done my college assignments which I still have not finished, I keep staring at them and wasting my days doing nothing, so today I gave in to do this!
