A Day Out In London

Last Tuesday 6th January, was my Mum's birthday so I decided to treat her to a day out in London, as we rarely go there and don't really go anywhere with each other.

The day was jam packed I really enjoyed it and she did too, I love London but I don't go there as much as I would like, I fall in love with the underground tube station it reminds me of New York which is one of my favourite cities.

The first thing we planned to do was to jump on the underground to London Bridge to go and visit the shard.

We didn't go up The Shard even though I would of liked too it was bit too expensive/time consuming for how long we would of spent up there. It was lovely seeing it though such a pretty building reminded me of NYC.

The next place we went to was Tower Bridge, which neither me & mum had visited before which was a change, I didn't even realise it existed, we walked across it which was a nice walk.

Then jumped back on the tube to Westminster to see London Eye & Big Ben. We didn't spend to long there purely as we've seen it all before and just got a few pictures.

After that we went for some girly shopping on Oxford Street and this meant me standing round in stores while my mum shopped. I'm not sure why but I get nervous/anxious when I'm shopping, I just feel like everyone is looking at me as I'm not in with the trend, I'm not very good with fashion to be honest, once I see something is in the trend and everyone is wearing it then I buy it and like it, but I'm the worst person to go shopping with unless I know what I'm looking for and I'm with someone who I'm comfortable around.

Well after hours of shopping, I then wanted to take my mum to a coffee shop as she fancied a cheeky coffee.
I really wanted to check out this coffee shop my favourite YouTubers Louis Cole & Steve Booker gave good reviews about. I don't really like getting a coffee from a mainstream coffee shop such a Costa, Starbucks etc. I prefer a nice little cafe with workers who are passionate about their little cafe, anyway this coffee shop was called Tap Coffee. It was so amazing inside literally so vintage and cool, I bought a casual Flat White Coffee and a chocolate chip cookie which was huge and too die for! My mum went for a cappuccino and some cake not sure what it was but it looked delicious!
I would recommend this coffee shop to anyone who lives or is visiting the London area it is on Oxford Street but on a little side road.

It started to hit sunset and was getting dark so we both decided to go to Camden Market which we both absolutely love, neither of us have been at night so this was absolutely lovely, every time I go there it's just such a diverse place with difference cultures and races, I love the market and how you can get bargains, I only bought one item while being in London and that was from the Market just guess?! What is it? A Selfie Stick...
We got a good deal on it and I wanted one of these for YouTube Conventions
(p.s. I GOT TICKETS FOR SITC BACK TO THE BLOG...)
It is such a lovely vibe there, I would highly recommend visiting, there is loads of little food stalls which are so tempting but I have a severe peanut allergy and I don't know whether I would trust some of the foods as they could have peanut oil in them.

We started to get a little bit peckish after wondering round Camden with all that lovely  food being cooked constantly. We decided then to go and find a restaurant, I suggested Covent Garden because that's great for restaurants, we went on the tube to their and then I asked Siri the nearest Italian Restaurants as that's my mums favourite cuisine and Jamie Olivers Italian came up, she said she would like to go there and the even better thing was we had £10 off so I treated her and me to the meal.
I'm telling you now and I am not exaggerating it was incredible like I had Sirloin steak and all the sides that came with it was just beautiful homemade coleslaw was the one! My mum had the lamb which was delicious, I may have robbed some off her it did indeed melt in my mouth!

That was basically our day in London we went back to Euston and then we realised we missed the bloody train... It was resolved though we just got one a hour later for free, it planned out just how I wanted it too.
My mum really enjoyed her birthday day out which made me so happy as she always works for Christmas/her Birthday and anything special really so it's nice for her to have a nice day and actually appreciate the day.
London is one of my favourite cities, it is so beautiful I just fall in love with it more and more I visit there, if you haven't been there yet honestly do it!
You won't regret it!
