February Favourites

This month I've been liking lots of new things which I'm excited to share with you all,
 lets begin!

Gadgets

Canon G7x PowerShot

I bought this camera for £360 it also came with a 16gb sd card, I've never spent so much on a camera in my life so this was a big buy for me, the reason I bought this camera is because I just wanted a better camera I guess, all the YouTuber's have it and it just caught my eye and it's touch screen and has a flip out screen and basically like a dslr but smaller, I would really like a dslr camera but I just don't know where to start and not sure when I would use it when this camera is compact and I can just carry it anywhere.

The camera itself is just amazing I love everything about it, it's basically what you would want a camera to be, it has loads of features but it only came the other day so I'm still just playing with it, I'm so happy I bought it as it can improve my images when I put them on here or other social media sites and I think it would be a good camera to film on if I ever decided to do YouTube in the future, I have some plans of using it via YouTube for when I go to conventions so I can film and have my memory's stored on their whether I will upload them to YouTube or not but it is a plan.
I would highly recommend buying this camera if your looking for a small compact camera with amazing quality.

Breville Blender

I've been wanting a blender for a while to start getting healthier by making smoothies, this arrived the other day too and it's just great I love it, it only cost £20 which I thought was pretty cheap and didn't really know what to expect of the blender to be honest for that price as the nutribullet costs a bomb, considering the price it's so powerful, I've been making smoothies ever since it arrived and I'm obsessed. I'm not even following recipes I'm just putting all the fruit I like into it and blending it, it tastes so gooooooood.
The great thing I love about it is the plastic container you blend you drink it out of too as it comes with a lid to go on top of it, it's basically a bottle, it's just compact and great.

MakeUp

Benefit Roller Lash Mascara

This mascara is out officially now but wasn't when I bought it a couple of weeks ago, it was an exclusive sample in the ELLE magazine, everyone was saying it was really good, so I decided to go and buy it and I'm just in love, in my previous favourites I said with mascara's I don't like heavy mascaras which are thick due to my eyes going weird, this one is basically what I said I hated, but it's great, it's not to heavy once its dried and it actually lasts all day and looks like I'm wearing mascara, I'm loving it so far and will defiantly buy the full mascara once I've used the sample up, I would highly recommend testing this out, it cost £4 (or £15 for the full one now) which is what the magazine cost, it's great totally worth buying.

Tanya Burr Lipglosses & Nail Polishes

I Found Nemo - This lipgloss I have been wanting since she brought it out in her new collection it's a lovely colour, it's like a coral colour and just looks great on, I think its going to be more of a spring/ summer lipgloss, I love the name of it too.

Berry Picking - This lipgloss isn't what I would usually go for but I really like it, the name of it kinda gives the hint that its a berry colour it's not to dark but not to light either, it's just right and I've been wearing it out quite a lot, I defiantly think this is a nice evening lipgloss but I could wear it in the day too, it's really nice.

Peaches & Cream - This nail polish is a light pink / peachy colour, it's a really nice suttle colour almost like a nude colour, with nude like colours you can basically match them with anything as it goes well with you skin tone, this is new in the collection to and it was just a need to buy item.

Games

Sims 4

This game has been out since September of last year, but only for windows release, I've been waiting and waiting for the mac version to come out so I can buy it, it came out last week I think it was and I bought it immediately! It cost £33. I've never in my life bought sims for pc I always torrent downloaded it, so this was a big step! It took hours and hours to download but once it finally did I spent even more hours making my sims, I haven't really had much time to play it to be honest due to college and work, but the minimal time I have spent playing it's been amazing so far, the detail you can use on your sim is incredible and the building and buy mode is just so much easier, I'm loving it at the moment and I would highly recommend buying it, I can tell I'm going to love this game when I have chance to play, the only problem with me is that once I start playing it I'm addicted, that's the only problem with sims and I don't have the time to be hooked, anyway defiantly buy it if you love sims!

Tanya Burr Book Signing & Meeting Internet Friends aka Turtle Squad

Yesterday was the day of the Milton Keynes Love Tanya book Signing.

Last week I bought the tickets to go, and loads of people on twitter who I follow were going too, then a girl messaged me and asked if I wanted to be in a group chat on twitter and we can all meet up on the day and I was so up for that!

So leading the days up to it we were talking everyday and a friendship began, we are known as The Turtle Squad because we were bit worried on how we would know it was us as we have never met each other before, so we decided to use a code word to know it was us and one of the girls said turtle randomly ever since then we've been The Turtle Squad. We were thinking of loads of idea to represent the turtle and then came up with the idea to buy a inflatable turtle to give to Tanya.
Moving on to the day...
I got up and ready, and walked went to the train station and then was told my train was cancelled and had to wait another hour to catch another one it was okay though, then once I got on the train I blew up the turtle I had lots of strange looks and I mean lots...

When I arrived at MK, I went straight into a taxi and went to the shopping centre. Once I arrived I went to get my wristband and book. I was suppose to be meeting Turtle Squad there and then but I was quite late compared to everyone else so I had to line up and get my book and wristband alone with the fricking inflatable turtle in my hand people were giving me some rare looks... Soon after part of the squad came and found me.

We chilled and got group photos and selfies and signed peoples letters with our @'s which were going to be given to Tanya later in the day. We then went and lined up to meet Tanya Burr, we were so excited, I'm not sure how long into queing up it was but Dom came out Tanya's manager well basically the whole of the Brit Crew's Manager, Dom Smales he came round holding a phone recording and I am 100% sure that was a vlog and I tell you now me and one of the girls ran over got in it and then realised he's walking all the way around to our side aswell so we were waiting and he came round and one of the girls got a selfie with him I was dying and he pointed at the turtle and was like huh what the hell is that, it was so funny I've got a video of it and everything!

From then onwards we just queued to meet Tanya and was discussing formations on who's going to go first, they all decided for me to go first as I've got the turtle and I'll explain about the squad, I hate being first so this was a real step, anyway got to meeting her and it was so amazing but I must say it was quite rushed and I must of said about 2/3 words to her I was shaking and stuttering... I bet she thought I was a right weirdo but honestly I have been waiting for this moment for years, so that explains it.

After we met her we just died basically and all fangirled about our signed books even though they kinda didn't spell Tanya Burr they still were signed by her though so it doesn't matter, as we were fangirling DOM CAME OUT AGAIN, so we all started freaking out again and everyone was getting selfies I attempted but he was bombarded by loads of people.

We decided we needed food after that emotional few hours and went to Nandos for dinner, we just talked about the day and youtubers it was just lovely! As none of my friends really understand youtubers it was nice to be surrounded with people who could i could relate with it put me in a really good comfort zone with everyone.

After that it was about the end of the day, it was so amazing to meet Tanya for the 1st time and the squad, we've already said we've got to meet again youtuber related or not!

I didn't really get to speak to Tanya so hopefully later in the year at amity I'll be able to have a good conversation with her! ❤️

January Favourites

Hey, this is a little bit different to what I've posted before, but my blog is fairly new anyway so there's much more of a variety of content on its way.
I'm hoping to carry on this Monthly Favourites out every single month on this blog.
Anyway lets crack on to the good stuff!

Skin Care

  • Boots Blemish Witch Stick - I use this item daily it's suppose to control your blemishes and make them disappear, I've stuck by this for quite along time, I had the witch hazel by witch instead of the boots one though, I desperately needed a blemish stick as I ran out and started to break out after my holiday so nipped into boots and this is all they had, it's just as good as the other one, it doesn't get rid of your spots completely nothing does really, but it did help the soreness and redness and then they did eventually go away but not all of them. It is fairly cheap it cost around £1.30 if remember correctly.
  • Boots Night Treatment Gel - This item I use every night, it's easy to apply and just feels nice on the skin, I don't tend to use moisturiser on my skin but this gel version I've stuck to for some reason, I would recommend it is also great for helping with my spots.
  • Boots Pore Cleansing Pads - These are great, I use these every single day, morning and night and whenever I just want to freshen up.They are easy and just clean your face and get into your pores, I've noticed some of my spots go away but I use quite a lot of spot treatments.
MakeUp

  • Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer - This item was in Zoe's (Zoella) video on her monthly favourites, I'm not a very up to date girl, I don't know the best makeup or skincare, that's probably why I'm so obsessed with girl youtubers as I don't know what's what. Anyway she recommended this in her video and said it's a really nice concealer for under the eye, as it's bright and just looks nice, I agree I also have the lasting collection one but it is better for spots as its a lot thicker, I never really liked it underneath my eyes as it just doesn't look that nice, where this one looks great under my eyes but wouldn't on blemishes, It cost about £6 which can be classed as expensive for a little concealer but that's about average and it's so worth it as you'll use it daily.
  • Collection Lengthening Mascara - When I visited the clothes show I got this mascara in a goody bag, I've been using the Rimmel 3D lash mascara and just didn't like it after a few months, so now I'm trying out this one, it seems great, I don't like putting a lot of mascara on purely because my eyes get irritated easily, this goes on really nicely and does what it says on the label by "lengthening" my eyelashes even with one stroke, its just a really nice light mascara but you could make it heavier if you went over and over but that's what I try not to do.
  • Tanya Burr Lipgloss Aurora - I've had this lipgloss since the collection came out, it's the only one I have out of the collection too, I do need to buy more but I just forget to buy another one every time when I'm in Superdrug. The colour of this is really nice and it's a little bright shade of pink that's the best way I could describe it (can you tell I'm shocking at describing things...)
  • Ted Baker Lipstick Set - I got this item as a gift for Christmas of my dad, I'm not a lipstick kind of girl, but I actually really like these, I guess I've never really bought a lipstick purely because I wouldn't know what brand would be good or whatever, anyway in this set there is 3 colours, Nude, Peach & Red. I'm really loving the Peach colour, it just looks so nice and I add Tanya Burr Lipgloss Aurora too it just goes perfect with it, I like all the other colours, nude you can where anytime really but I always want to go for a little bit of pink that's why I've enjoyed the Peach, the red I haven't tested out and can't see me using it but could be handy at times I might want to use.
Books
  • Love Tanya By Tanya Burr - I'm not really a bookworm I use to be, I love reading books in fact, but I never have the time to read them, this arrived the other day as I preordered it on amazon it came out on 29.01.15, I am so proud of Tanya for creating this book, it's just something I've never seen before its got all the information I would like in it, I haven't read much yet as haven't had the time but just flicking through it I can tell it's going to really help me, the book has got beauty, skincare,YouTube, baking, life tips just everything you can think off, as I said I'm not really up to date but like to keep up to date and this book seems great and has gave me some ideas on my next purchases when I get paid. Tanya has worked so hard on this you can just see the effort she has put into it by even flicking through it, I would highly recommend this book, not because I love the woman because I do she's amazing, but just purely because it's amazing and if you want to know the best makeup and skincare on the market or how to apply makeup or do hairstyles literally just buy it now it's got everything you could imagine inside! It cost me £6 off amazon
TV Shows
  • The Walking Dead - OH MY GOD where to even start with this TV Show, I LOVE IT, it's just amazing, I don't really know how to describe it, it's basically about a zombie crisis what's happened in the world and these people have to survive and it's just mental basically, that may sound so boring but I literally don't know how to describe it, it is just brilliant I love it, I would highly recommend watching it, every single episode gets me on the edge of my seat and gives me a adrenalin every time i watch it. I've just finished the seasons, it starts again this month, just omg though the stuff that kicked off last episode was crazy! Honestly I know this explanation was rubbish but please just watch it right now you wont regret it.

Merch

  • Pointless Blog Beanie (Sorry About My Hair) - MY BEANIE arrived! This is a big deal to anyone who watches Alfie Deyes, he gave a few beanies away to his fans, considering he's got a 3 Million subscriber base you would have to be pretty damn lucky to win one... GUESS JUST GUESS I WON ONE. Now, I'm one of those people who have bad luck all the time I never win anything honestly, so to win this from a  person who means so much to me and has done for 5 years was a dream come true. I'm so overwhelmed, I did actually buy a beanie but that is going to my little sister now as she couldn't afford one! Anyway since the day it arrived at my house I have literally wore it every single day and everywhere I go... I'm just obsessed with it but to be honest I'm making the most out of it, I won a beanie from my sunshine I am the happiest girl alive.
App
  • Storie - This is a brand new app on the app store developed by Nick and Dan Miller & Louis Cole, the app is a visual telling storie app, it's so great, I've loved it so far and tried out a few little videos, but the thumbnail needs to be sorted but Nick has already announced that's going to be on the next update, as you film a video and publish it and your thumbnail is automatic and it makes you look disgusting, at the moment I've stopped testing out filming because it annoys me, but I love watching other people's creativity via the app and it's such a great community and everyone is so friendly, I can't wait till the new update comes out purely because it will just be perfection, I would highly recommend downloading the app as it's free and it's fun watching people even if your not intrigued by the filming because of what I've said about the thumbnail honestly when that gets sorted it'll be on point, the filming is really easy to do and you get to add filters to it and everything definitely my favourite app at the moment.
New Goodies Overall

  • MacBook Pro - I bought this a month ago it, let me just say it's the best thing I have ever bought, it's a 2011 model as I couldn't afford much more, it cost £350 of eBay second hand, it's in such a great condition and is so fast, I always bought cheap £150/200 windows laptops which are just a pile of poop compared to the Apple Computers, I can't go into that much detail as it would just take the whole blog up! But honestly it's so fast and just perfect in every way it came with all my essentials like Microsoft Office & PhotoShop & Final Cut Pro which is amazing! It's basically all you would want in a laptop!
  • Selfie Stick - I bought this when I was in London which I wrote a blogpost about... Anyway I love this little gadget it's so great, I haven't used it much as I'm not really a selfie girl to be honest, but I used it on holiday and it was handy for group photos as it stretches about to about 2 metres, I'm pretty excited to use it a YouTube conventions its going to be perfect to film off when I vlog stuff, I would highly recommend buying one, but for a good price I got mine cheaper than usual but £10 is the average price.
  • Zoella Fizz Bar - I'm on my second bar of this, I absolutely love it, I don't really like baths but ever since Zoe brought out her Zoella Beauty Range, I've bought all of it and used everything, I just love it so much, the price is really cheap to be honest highly recommend buying it.
  • Tangle Teezer - I don't have the proper make off the tangle teaser's, I just have a poundland one it does the job though, I love tangle teasers there great, for some reason I have really bad knots in my hair and its so easy to remove them with it.
  • Colab Dry Shampoo - This is such a great dry shampoo it is also invisible which is great so it doesn't make you hair white like the batiste, they are both equally really good products but I've been using the Colab dry shampoo and it's cheaper than the batiste, I think I payed around £1.50 but it was on offer even now I think it's only £2.

That's the end on this months favourites if you enjoyed this blog post please share it so I'll know whether people want more as i would like to did this as a monthly thing for my blog!
I've had real fun writing it, it's took me all day and night so hope you appreciate some of my favourites throughout January.
